Our hallway has a narrow strip of wall between two doors and nothing straight would fit. The starburst shape puts six hooks into that gap because they fan out rather than run in a line. It looks like a light fitting until you notice the coats.
Charming, but the adhesive limit is low
One and a half kilos per hook on the pads is not much once you hang a winter coat. I used the nails in the end and it takes three kilos a hook, which is plenty. The chrome and the painted balls look great. I just wish the no-drill option were stronger.

Unscrew the rail and pull out the wall plugs, then fill each hole with a little lightweight filler, sand it flush once dry, and dab on matching paint. The repair disappears, which is what makes a mounted rail renter-safe as long as you keep a sample of your wall colour.
