Bought Capri because we got engaged there
It was meant to be sentimental and it turned out useful. The spine is the right kind of understated, so it does not shout novelty from across the room. Remotes and the good coasters live inside. My husband keeps saying we should get an Amalfi one to go beside it.
Faux Book Box, Italy
- Passes as a real hardback. Coffee-table-book scale, not a novelty box.
- Remotes, keys, cables — gone. They live inside instead of across the table.
- Doubles as a surface. Rigid enough for a small vase or a candle on top.
Mix colours however you like — the set price stays the same.

Description+
A hollow card box with spines reading Amalfi, Capri and Tuscany, hiding remotes and keys behind a magnetic flap.
The spines read Amalfi, Capri, Sicily and Tuscany, but the inside is empty and lined with card, closed by a magnet along the open edge. Whatever clutters your coffee table goes in there: remotes, spare keys, a phone cable, a pack of cards. At 26.7 × 17.5 × 4.2 cm it sits at true coffee-table-book scale, and the walls hold firm enough to carry a small vase or a candle on the lid.
Eleven prints in this edition, the widest choice of the seven, so you can build a stack that stays in one palette or run the full coast from Positano to Palermo. One box per order, in the print you choose. Keep it dry and lift from underneath once there is weight inside; card handles daily use but not a spilled glass.
Each cover is printed on card in separate runs, so ink density can vary a shade between boxes, and screens render those colours differently again. Two boxes of the same print set side by side may not match perfectly.

Why the Faux Book Box, Italy
The cover lifts on a magnet and the inside is hollow. Remotes, keys, charging cables and the small things that migrate around a living room all go in, out of sight but still within arm's reach of the sofa.
26.7 × 17.5 × 4.2 cm are the proportions of a real coffee table book, so it sits in a stack without announcing itself as a container. The card walls hold firm under a small vase.
Every edition carries several cover prints and you choose the one you want. Collect two or three across editions and the spines line up into a run that looks curated rather than bought in one go.

The two Amalfi prints are very close
I ordered Amalfi Coast 1 and 2 expecting more contrast between them, and they read almost the same on the shelf. My fault for not looking harder at the photos. Individually they are lovely, the card is sturdier than I feared, and the magnet is strong. I would pick two different regions next time.
Tuscany Summer on the bedside, holding a charger and a book light. The colours are warmer in daylight than the listing shows. It has stopped the nightstand looking like a cable drawer, and my mother assumed I had brought it back from a trip.
Frequently asked questions
How many boxes do I get?+
One. The price is for a single box in whichever cover print you select from the dropdown. The photos show the full range of prints available in that edition, not the contents of one order.
Is it a real book?+
No. There are no pages. It's a hollow box made of thick card, printed to look like a hardback travel or art title, with a magnetic flap where the pages would be.
Can I stack things on top?+
A small vase, a candle or another box or two, yes. The card is rigid and the walls hold. Don't use it as a stool or a step, and lift it from the base rather than the spine once there's weight inside.
How do I clean it?+
Wipe the cover with a dry or barely damp cloth. It's card, so keep it away from standing water and don't use spray cleaner on it.
Do the editions match each other?+
They're all the same size and finish, so they stack cleanly together. The palettes differ: Greece and Artsy sit cooler and quieter, Spain and Mexico run brighter, Italy and France land in between.
