The Matisse one looks like it came from a gallery shop
The cutout print is crisp and the colours are flat and clean rather than shiny, which is what sells it. It sits on the console with the flap facing the wall and nobody has clocked that it opens. Keys and sunglasses live in it now.
Faux Book Box, Artsy
- Passes as a real hardback. Coffee-table-book scale, not a novelty box.
- Remotes, keys, cables — gone. They live inside instead of across the table.
- Doubles as a surface. Rigid enough for a small vase or a candle on top.
Mix colours however you like — the set price stays the same.

Description+
The one edition without destinations: seven gallery-poster covers over the same hollow card box and magnetic flap.
The only edition that skips destinations. These seven covers borrow from gallery posters instead: cut-paper shapes, a deep blue ocean study, a face in two flat colours, a line that reads Wake Up No Thank You. Behind each one is the same hollow card box, 26.7 × 17.5 × 4.2 cm, closed with a magnet and sized to take remotes, keys or stationery.
Set against the travel editions, these sit quieter and suit a shelf where the art is already doing the talking. One box per order, in the print you choose. Keep it away from damp and support the base when you lift it full; the card is rigid but it is still card.
Each cover is printed on card in separate runs, so ink density can vary a shade between boxes, and screens render those colours differently again. Two boxes of the same print set side by side may not match perfectly.

Why the Faux Book Box, Artsy
The cover lifts on a magnet and the inside is hollow. Remotes, keys, charging cables and the small things that migrate around a living room all go in, out of sight but still within arm's reach of the sofa.
26.7 × 17.5 × 4.2 cm are the proportions of a real coffee table book, so it sits in a stack without announcing itself as a container. The card walls hold firm under a small vase.
Every edition carries several cover prints and you choose the one you want. Collect two or three across editions and the spines line up into a run that looks curated rather than bought in one go.

Beautiful print, thinner than I expected
The cover art is the reason to buy this and it does not disappoint. The box itself is card and it flexes if you fill it and lift it badly. Two months on the shelf and it still looks new, so it holds up fine if you treat it as decor with storage rather than storage with a nice lid.
Bought Ocean Wanderlust and Cafe Mambo together. Stacked, they look like two books someone actually reads. The remotes are in the bottom one and the top one holds nothing at all, which is fine by me.
Frequently asked questions
How many boxes do I get?+
One. The price is for a single box in whichever cover print you select from the dropdown. The photos show the full range of prints available in that edition, not the contents of one order.
Is it a real book?+
No. There are no pages. It's a hollow box made of thick card, printed to look like a hardback travel or art title, with a magnetic flap where the pages would be.
Can I stack things on top?+
A small vase, a candle or another box or two, yes. The card is rigid and the walls hold. Don't use it as a stool or a step, and lift it from the base rather than the spine once there's weight inside.
How do I clean it?+
Wipe the cover with a dry or barely damp cloth. It's card, so keep it away from standing water and don't use spray cleaner on it.
Do the editions match each other?+
They're all the same size and finish, so they stack cleanly together. The palettes differ: Greece and Artsy sit cooler and quieter, Spain and Mexico run brighter, Italy and France land in between.
